Basic knowledge about acrylic aquarium~

First, the type of acrylic aquarium (fish tank) According to the characteristics of different organisms, acrylic aquarium can be divided into the following categories:
1. Freshwater aquatic grass tank; 2. Freshwater fish tank; 3. Marine fish tank; 4. Seawater coral tank; 5. Seawater mixed tank.
Of course, according to the cold water and tropical nature of fish, a more detailed classification can be made, but in general, the above classification can now outline the main culture characteristics of the acrylic aquarium.
Because the culture of marine fish is a new topic, and because of the high cost of capture and transportation, the cost of building a tank and daily protection costs are more expensive. Therefore, aquarium enthusiasts should be able to start with a fresh water tank, accumulate experience, and then test the seawater tank.
Second, the classification of fish can be divided into two categories of fresh water and sea water. Freshwater fish are customarily divided into: cold water fish and tropical fish. In recent years, with the expansion of farmed fish species, it is also possible to add East African cichlids (referred to as Mahu fish and Tanhu fish).
Cold-water freshwater fish is a relatively old farmed fish species, represented by goldfish. As early as the Song Dynasty, the development of goldfish species in China has now reached a considerable scale. However, the types of cold-water fish are generally single, so in recent years, colorful and diverse tropical fish have been favored.
Cixi in East Africa is a new type of farmed fish. Because its origins, Lake Malawi and Lake Tangansk, are carbonated, the water is rich in calcium, which is significantly different from the weak acidity of fresh water. In the water quality control is also different from the general fresh water tank.
Seawater organisms are mainly divided into fish and soft bodies (corals). In general, marine fish are not suitable for polyculture with soft bodies (corals). Because their requirements for water temperature and light do not necessarily match, large or medium-sized marine fish can also eat soft bodies, forming their decay and death. Therefore, even if it is polyculture, choose a small fish that is suitable for polyculture, for example, use the clownfish to cooperate with the anemone. In addition, many sea fish have poisonous thorns or poisonous kisses, and they are carnivorous, so even fish polyculture needs to be cautious.
